If Youre Ever in My Arms Again Lyrics

Picture this: Y'all've orchestrated the perfect at-habitation engagement for your significant other, featuring candles, wine, and a lovingly home-cooked (or lovingly ordered via app) dinner. Merely just as your person texts you that they're on their way, y'all realize that you have no idea what sort of music to play to retain the romantic ambience. After all, you can't have your early on 2000s guilty pleasance songs come on shuffle while you're trying to stare lovingly into your partner'south eyes (aught ruins the mood like the distinctive "youuuuuu" at the kickoff of "Soulja Boy." And yeah, that example is based on a true story).

Anyhow, I've got you covered with my list of the nigh beautiful, hopeful, and achingly romantic songs ever written (in my humble stance). You'll have your crush/partner/Bumble date swooning.

"ROS" - Mac Miller

Most romantic lyrics: "I'm in your center, I'm in your dream/ And then fuck the world it's you and me"

Rationale: When the exterior world becomes brutal, many couples turn inward and develop that united states of america-against-the-world mindset. In "ROS," Mac Miller captures what it's like to feel close to someone, spending much of this song describing the little things he loves about his partner, like her "stained glass" optics, butterscotch-scented skin, and kiwi-flavored lips. The lyrics are intimate in every way, and Mac delivers them with his feature rawness.

"These Arms of Mine" - Otis Redding

Most romantic lyrics: "These arms of mine, they are lonely/ Lonely and feeling blue/ These arms of mine, they are yearning/ Yearning from wanting y'all"

Rationale: This song hits me right in the chest. It's impossible not to feel your arms and chest aching like Reddings' when he sings well-nigh burning to hold his lover. The music crescendos around his smooth voice every bit he begs,  "And if yous would let them hold you/ Oh, how grateful I would be." It'due south such a sweet, earnest plea for love, and its focus on physicality is pretty sexy, as well.

"Ex Factor" - Lauryn Hill

Most romantic lyrics: "See, no i loves you more than me/ and no ane ever volition"

Rationale: No one knows how to obliterate me emotionally quite similar Lauryn Loma does. In "Ex Gene" (and on this whole album, let's be real), she's vulnerable, baring all her devotion to her fellow. Nosotros recognize straightaway that her human relationship is toxic, only Colina'south honesty is and then beautiful that we humble listeners have no choice but to sit down, transfixed, and listen.

"Skinny Dear" - Bon Iver

Most romantic lyrics: "Told my honey to wreck it all/ Cutting out all the ropes and permit me fall"

Rationale: When this song came out in 2007, I was in middle school. I could not stop singing information technology as I traipsed through my house, most-tears as I crooned about "the sink of blood and crushed veneer," as though my twelve years on earth had been rife with tragic dear diplomacy.

Notwithstanding, this song still holds up. Bon Iver is a chief at depicting what information technology's like to fully surrender yourself to someone while aware that they may hurt you in the end. I nevertheless sing this vocal while I lounge around my little studio apartment, drawing on existent-life experiences this fourth dimension, though I assure y'all that none of them involved blood-filled sinks or crushed veneers.

"Leather and Lace" - Stevie Nicks & Don Henley

Most romantic lyrics: "Lovers forever, face to face/ My city, your mountains/ Stay with me, stay/ I demand y'all to dear me/ I need you lot today/ Requite me to me your leather, accept from me my lace"

Rationale: This is Stevie Nicks' lyricism at its most poignant. She wrote "Leather and Lace" herself and and so performed it with Don Henley (of The Eagles) while they were dating. This duet is beautiful in and of itself, just their chemistry and passion for each other makes it all the more impactful. An ex played this for me once, unprompted, and I remember thinking, My God, dude. Why would you do this to me?

Wrecked.

The Mode You Wait Tonight" - Frank Sinatra

Most romantic lyrics: "Lovely, never, never modify/ keep that breathless charm/ won't you please accommodate information technology?/ 'Cause I love yous/ Just the way you look tonight"

Rationale: Ah, aye. The vocal that plays at every wedding on world. Popular songs are popular for a reason, though, and this one endures because of the accepting, unconditional sort of honey that it depicts. In addition to Sinatra's version, I'm as well partial to Fred Astaire'southward rendition in the 1936 film Swing Fourth dimension and the sugariness still tongue-in-cheek visuals get along with information technology.

"Everlasting Lite" - The Black Keys

Nigh romantic lyrics: "Let me be your everlasting calorie-free/ Your train going away from pain/ Love is the coal that makes this train roll/ Let me exist your everlasting light"

Rationale: If you read the lyrics without the music, the whole song sounds kind of similar a belatedly nineteenth century poem. The love in this song is so pure and hopeful, and you'll definitely gain absurd-points by playing The Black Keys on a first appointment.

"To Know Him Is To Love Him" - Amy Winehouse

Most romantic lyrics: "To know, know, know him/ Is to beloved, love, love him/ Just to meet that smile/ Makes my life worthwhile"

Rationale: No one does unbridled love like Amy Winehouse. Her soulful voice takes center phase in this Phil Spector cover, and if you're not already in love, it volition make you lot want to exist.

"Like Real People Do" - Hozier

Most romantic lyrics: "I volition not ask you lot where y'all came from/ I will not ask you, neither should you lot/ Honey, just put your sweet lips on my lips/ We should just osculation like real people practise"

Rationale: Here, Hozier is trying to convince his honey interest to forget that they both have pasts (who doesn't?) and to but dear him. There's a sense that both people in the song consider themselves odd in some way (again, who doesn't?), and that they've been searching for partners similar each other for ages. "Like Real People Do" reminds us of how miraculous it feels to dearest and be loved back.

"Can't Take My Optics Off Y'all" - Franki Valli & The 4 Seasons

Most romantic lyrics: "You're just as well adept to exist truthful/ Can't take my eyes off of y'all/ You'd be like heaven to touch/ I wanna concur you so much"

Rationale: To quote every Boomer from my home state of New Jersey: They but don't make 'em like this anymore. And it's truthful―this vocal manages to balance emotional and sexual yearning without being crude.

And just... the gratitude Valli feels when he sings about loving his girl and then much that he thanks God he'southward alive. My Lord. They really just do not brand 'em quite similar this anymore.

"Forrest Gump" - Frank Ocean

Most romantic lyrics: "My fingertips and my lips/ They burn from the cigarettes/ Forrest Gump, y'all run my mind, boy/ Running on my mind, boy"

Rationale: This is Frank Ocean's most criminally underrated song and I volition fight anyone who has anything negative to say about it. In fact, I once made a very loud, spirited defense of this song when I was in loftier school, right after Ocean'south ill-received performance of information technology at the 2013 Grammys.

The song is told from the perspective of Jenny in the 1994 film Forrest Gump. It'south about a broken, tired person coming back to their pure, enduring love after a great deal of time has passed. It'due south especially meaningful, in my opinion, because Ocean penned the vocal in the wake of his very public coming-out.

"Take Me The Way I Am" - Ingrid Michaelson

Virtually romantic lyrics: "'Crusade I honey you more than than I could ever hope/ And you take me the way I am"

Rationale: What a throwback! Ingrid Michaelson was responsible for some of the sweetest manic-pixie-dream-daughter dearest songs of the early 2000s, and this one was her most popular. Michaelson rejoices in having plant a partner who loves her, flaws and all, and she responds in kind, promising to repair what her partner breaks and buy him Rogaine when his pilus starts falling out. It's a promise to love someone forever.

"I'm Not Dead" - P!nk

Near romantic lyrics: "Right across the cigarette and the devilish smile/You're my crack of sunlight/ You can do the math a yard ways/ But y'all tin can't erase the facts/ That others come up and others get/ But you always come back"

Rationale: This is my favorite era of P!nk'southward music. In "I'm Not Dead," she writes a frank, unapologetic love song about being a flawed homo securely in love with another flawed human. Waxing poetic about her and her swain'southward (her futurity husband, Cary Hart, by the fashion) tattoos and alluding to her own mental illness, P!nk eschews all tired clichés about love in favor of something far more than accurate and affecting.

"Hannah Chase" - Vampire Weekend

Almost romantic lyrics: "A human of religion said hidden eyes could see what I was thinkin'/ I but smiled and told him/ That was only true of Hannah"

Rationale: Oh, Ezra Koenig, how y'all wound me with your beautiful words! In this song, our narrator seems to be moving around the U.S. with his beloved Hannah until she grows homesick for the eastward coast. Having lived in New England for effectually 7 years, I'grand fractional to this song for its "freezing beaches" references, merely it'due south also a gentle tribute to the manner time glides away when you're with someone yous love.

"A Song For You" - Donny Hathaway

Most romantic lyrics: "I dearest you in a place/ Where there'due south no space or time/ I love you for my life/ Yous're a friend of mine/ And when my life is over/ Remember when we were together"

Rationale: In that location have been many versions of this song, only this one'southward my favorite. Information technology was also Amy Winehouse'southward favorite. Donny Hathaway sings this with such feeling that one can't help but feel he's reciting a memoir when he sings his amends to a woman he neglected to settle down with because he was also busy performing around the world.

"Maps" - Yeah Yeah Yeahs

Most romantic lyrics: "Don't devious/ My kind's your kind/ I'll stay the aforementioned."

Rationale: Yes, this vocal is 90 percent just Karen O singing "Wait, they don't love you like I dear you," but it'southward and then powerful! If you say something the correct fashion, and the accompanying music is practiced plenty, at that place'south no need to embellish much more. Proof: Beyoncé clearly nods to this vocal in her 2016 unmarried "Hold Up." "Maps" endures, over a decade subsequently, across genres.

"If I Own't Got You" - Alicia Keys

Nearly romantic lyrics: "Some people want diamond rings/ Some but want everything/ But everything means nada/ If I ain't got you"

Rationale: This song is all the more touching when yous call up that she wrote it but equally she was starting time to get famous. She promises that her renown―the fruit of all her labor―along with promises of riches, jewelry, or countless life would all mean cipher if she didn't have her man.

"Pine Tree Lines" - Told Slant

Most romantic lines: "I am the daughter my parents made/ Why don't you lot love me anyway/ 'Cause I love the way you take upward space"

Rationale: Devastating genius. Pb singer Felix Walworth delivers this song and then earnestly that his voice literally cracks during that last line. I've never heard a simpler or more startlingly accurate depiction of admiration than loving the fashion someone takes upward space.

"Inevitable" - Shakira

Most romantic lyrics: "To be even more honest/ No one thinks virtually you/ The style I practise" (Translated from Spanish)

Rationale: Shakira spends about of this song laying out all her imperfections―that she doesn't know how to make coffee, that she doesn't understand soccer, that she oversleeps, etc.―and and so proceeds to inquire her human to dearest her anyway.

"I Found You" - Alabama Shakes

Nigh romantic lyrics: "I call up all them lonely days/ I traveled out on my ain/ Then yous brought me everything/ You made my house a habitation"

Rationale: This is a celebration of finally finding your person. Then who meliorate to listen to it with than your person? Romantic, indeed.

"Rag Doll" - Franki Valli & The Iv Seasons

Virtually romantic lines: "I'd modify her sad rags/ Into glad rags if I could/ My folks won't let me/ 'Cause they say that she'south no practiced."

Rationale: Another Four Seasons song, yes. I'thou from Bailiwick of jersey. Sue me.

Franki Valli declares his unconditional honey for a girl much poorer than he is, fantasizing nearly replacing her tattered clothes with lace and finery. In spite of her poverty, he ends the song by crying, "I beloved you just the manner yous are."

He wants to give everything to someone who tin can offer him null material. All he wants is her.

"Since I've Been Loving Y'all" - Led Zeppelin

Most romantic lyrics: "But baby, since I've been loving you, yep/ I'm nearly to lose my worried mind/ Oh, yeah"

Rationale: Man, these lyrics await so underwhelming when written down sans musical accessory. It's tragic.

What makes this song so romantic, to me, is the organ and bass piece of work by John Paul Jones pair with Robert Institute's searing vocals. It'southward a ability blues vocal that hits you correct in the gut. If drastic desire were a sound, this would be it.

"You Got Me" - Erykah Badu and The Roots

Most romantic lines: "If you don't worry 'bout where/ I been or who I saw  or/ What club I went to with my homies/ Babe, don't worry, yous know that yous got me"

Rationale: I cried when I saw this live. Erykah reassures her boyfriend during the chorus that she'll always exist loyal to him, while Black Thought (atomic number 82 MC of The Roots) uses his verses to tell the story of a lifelong romance. It'southward the all-time love song in hip hop, hands downwardly.

"(You Make Me Experience Like) A Natural Woman - Aretha Franklin

Nigh romantic lyrics: "When my soul was in the lost and found/ Yous came along to claim it/ I didn't know just what was wrong with me/ 'Til your osculation helped me name it"

Rationale: We should heal ourselves rather than wait effectually for someone to heal u.s., simply that doesn't mean that beloved can't be a healing feel. It's really romantic to thank someone for making you lot feel skillful, and that's precisely what this song (written by the flawless Carole Male monarch) is about.

"Jade" - Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros

Near romantic lyrics: "We tin't help merely follow, she'south Buddha, simply spotter her/ She moves like an onetime gypsy adult female but swears she's a girl/ And all that she asks we'll allow her/ For Jade is the girl of the hour"

Rationale: Alex Ebert wrote this song for Jade Castrinos when they were both still dating and nonetheless the frontpeople of Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros. The song is a serenity love letter to Castrinos―you could imagine Ebert singing it to her at night by the bivouac while the balance of the band is comatose (that's this band's vibe, really). It'due south a shame that we no longer get to watch the sweetness human relationship between these talented musicians, but at least we'll ever have this hippie love song.

"Wild Horses" - The Rolling Stones

Most romantic lyrics: "Graceless lady/ You know who I am/ Y'all know I can't allow you/ Slide through my hands/ Wild horses/ Couldn't drag me abroad"

Rationale: One of the wildest bands of the '60s and '70s as well happened to write one of the most poignant songs virtually dear and devotion. This is about a long, deep intimacy between two people, and of beingness physically unable to resist the person you adore.

"Jim Bogart" - The Forepart Bottoms

About romantic lyrics: "I would sleep better on your floor/ Than I would e'er in my bed/ And if your carpet makes my confront itch/ Information technology'd still be heaven in my head"

Rationale: "Jim Bogart" opens with the above lyrics, sung with lead vocalist Brian Sella'south signature raw vocals. He abandons all pride in his dearest for this girl, promising to practice his guitar every nighttime, to slumber on her floor without complaint, and to to ignore his doctor's advice―all to win her dear. We shouldn't have to debase ourselves for dearest (*rolls eyes* yep, aye yeah), but this is fine art. And if we're being honest, this sentiment is relatable for anyone who's prayed for their love to be reciprocated.

"Loving You" - Elvis Presley

Well-nigh romantic lyrics: "If I'k seen with someone new/ Don't be blue, don't you exist blue/ I'll be faithful, I'll be true/ Ever true, true to you"

Rationale: Elvis tells his love non to get jealous or to believe the hype around him and other women, reassuring her that she's the one for him. Although multiple sources have claimed that Elvis did, indeed, cheat on his wife, Priscilla, this remains his sweetest love vocal.

"Melissa" - The Allman Brothers Ring

Almost romantic lyrics: "Knowing many, loving none/ Bearin' sorrow, havin' fun/ But dorsum home he'll ever run/ To sweet Melissa"

Rationale: Hither, the Allman Brothers sing virtually a traveling musician who can't go over his sweetheart no thing how many other women he meets. She always ends upwardly resurfacing in his mind, and eventually, he always returns to her.

"My One-time Man" - Joni Mitchell

Most romantic lyrics: "He's my sunshine in the morning/ He'due south my fireworks at the stop of the day/ He's the warmest chord I ever head/ Play that warm chord, play and stay, infant"

Rationale: Mitchell's soaring mezzo-soprano meanders through a portrait of her relationship in this vocal, insisting throughout that, "Nosotros don't demand no piece of paper from the metropolis hall." She's saying that she doesn't need external validation of the human relationship―this homo gives her all she needs to feel secure in their bond.

"Devil In a New Dress" - Kanye Westward, Rick Ross

Most romantic lyrics: "Put your hands to the constellations/ The way y'all look should be a sin, you my sensation"

Rationale: Kanye West is a pretty polarizing figure, but this is however 1 of my favorite albums of all fourth dimension. It's a bloodshot tribute to his infamous relationship with Amber Rose, and this song encapsulates the oftentimes-sexy, e'er-complicated connection betwixt 2 people who aren't good for each other, yet can't stay abroad from one another.

"Love of My Life (An Ode to Hip Hop)" - Erykah Badu, Common

Well-nigh romantic lyrics: "Only that is all behind me/ 'Crusade now there is no other/ My love is his and his is mine/ A friend became the/ Love of my life"

Rationale: Conventional advice tells us to fall in beloved with someone who tin can be our  friend, too. This vocal is nearly 2 lifelong best friends who find their way back to each other after fourth dimension spent apart. With her famously beguiling voice, Erykah Badu captures the joy of being truly known by 1'south partner.

"A Sunday Kind of Love" - Etta James

Almost romantic lyrics: "I desire a Sunday kind of love/ A dearest to last by Sat dark/ I desire to know it's more than than love at first sight"

Rationale: Nosotros've all been at this point before. If Etta James were to have written this song today, she would take been explaining that she was ill of one-night-stands and Tinder/Bumble/Hinge dates that get nowhere. She'd be proverb she was tired of sweaty strangers in confined shouting into her ear, over deafening music, asking if she wants to take a shot.

Instead, she'd want something substantial. Someone to relax and binge Schitt'south Creek reruns with on the weekends.

May we all find that Sunday kind love.

"Infant I'thou Yours" - Chill Monkeys

Most romantic lyrics: "Baby, I'm yours/ And I'll exist yours until the stars autumn from the sky/ Yours until the rivers all run dry out/ In other words, until I die"

Rationale: This song sounds similar information technology was written in the '50s or '60s. In some ways, it'south your run-of-the-mill deadening vocal, just there's something mannerly virtually the Chill Monkeys beingness the ones to perform this retro pledge of devotion.

"She Will Be Loved" - Maroon 5

Nigh romantic lyrics:"I don't mind spendin' everyday / Out on your corner in the pourin' rain"

Rationale:I remember listening to this vocal in centre school, wishing that the boy I had a beat on would love me enough to stand outside my window in the rain. In hindsight, that would have been awkward and inconvenient to explicate to my female parent, and these days I would probably find such behavior creepy (when I'1000 in my pajamas in my apartment, peacefully eating Takis and watching The Sopranos, the last thing I need is a man standing exterior, watching me from the street like something out of The Exorcist), only the sentiment of this song even so stands.

"Because the Night" - Patti Smith

About romantic lyrics: "Come up on, now, attempt and understand/ The style I feel when I'grand in your hands/ Have my hand, come secret/ They can't injure you now"

Rationale: In this song, which was originally written by lyrical legend Bruce Springsteen, Smith promises her lover that he'due south prophylactic with her. If you've read Smith'south volume Only Kids, you'll probably listen to this song and think of her and Robert Mapplethorpe singing and dancing to information technology down the streets of lower Manhattan.

"La Vie En Rose" - Edith Piaf

Most romantic lyrics: "When he holds me in his arms/ And he speaks to me softly/ I see the world through rose-colored spectacles" (Translated from French)

Rationale: You definitely know this vocal. It's the become-to for every romantic scene in every American movie about France. And, granted, information technology's a keen choice for a dinner date, particularly if you want to get a little slow dancing started.

"Anytime" - The Growlers

Most romantic lyrics: "Just stay for one more night/ 1 day y'all're gonna be my married woman/ Yous'll never have to worry again/ I'g gonna be your man"

Rationale: It sounds lead vocaliser Brooks Nielsen's now-wife was getting really ill of his bullshit, and that he wrote this song as a plea to get her to say. It's poetic, energetic, and hopeful, and it would have worked on me, also, tbh.

"Wouldn't It Exist Nice" - The Beach Boys

Well-nigh romantic lyrics: "Wouldn't it be dainty if we were older?/ Then nosotros wouldn't accept to expect and so long"

Rationale: This is sung from the perspective of someone who's already certain almost who he wants to spend the rest of his life with. And he's wishing that the rest of his life could kickoff right at present.

"Stay" - Rihanna, Mikky Ekko

Most romantic lyrics: "Not really certain how to feel virtually it/ Somethin' in the way you move/ Makes me experience like I can't live without you"

Rationale: Dearest isn't a formula. At that place'southward no real logic to why nosotros fall in beloved with some people only not others, and Rihanna hits the nail on the head when she says it's just "something in the mode [he] move[s]." It'southward reminiscent of The Beatles' song "Something." Speaking of which...

"Something" - The Beatles

Most romantic lyrics: "Something in the way she moves / Attracts me like no other lover / Something in the way she woos me / I don't want to get out her at present"

Rationale:This song is a slow, dreamy ode on an otherwise bluesy anthology. George Harrison was the Beatle who penned it, writing that he wasn't sure what exactly triggered his love or whether information technology would grow.  All he knew was that the dear was in that location, and that that should be enough.

"Androgynous" - The Replacements

Most romantic lyrics: "And they dearest each other then/ Androgynous/ Closer than nosotros know, honey each other and so/ Androgynous"

Rationale: This song is about two non-binary people falling in honey, which is pretty absurd for a vocal from 1984. Our main characters, archetypically named Dick and Jane, love each other regardless of gender. The Replacements brand a compelling argument about why traditional gender roles and vesture should make no difference if you're truly in dearest with someone.

"I'll Be Seeing You" - Billie Vacation

Most romantic lyrics: "I'll find you in the morn sun/ In every lovely summer'due south day/ In everything that'due south right and gay/ I'll always think of you"

Rationale: You know when yous're freshly in dear (or heartbroken), and everything reminds you of that person? That's what this song is about. Everything around Holiday―the natural globe, a park, a cafe, a carousel―is a fond reminder of her beloved.

"Sunday Candy" - Donnie Trumpet & The Social Experiment

Most romantic lyrics: "You've got to move it slowly/ Take it in my body similar it'due south holy/ I've been waiting for you for the whole week/ I've been praying for you, yous're my Dominicus candy"

Rationale: The Social Experiment is the hip hop collective that boasts members such as Chance the Rapper and Vic Mensa (the former of which is featured heavily on this vocal). Jamila Forest performs the chorus to this song and so sweetly that it's like shooting fish in a barrel to forget the sexual implications, and she and Take chances tell the story of a couple that spends a week at a time missing each other, absorbed in thoughts of 1 another until they're finally reunited.

"Come As You Are" - Nirvana

Most romantic lyrics: "Come up every bit you lot are/ As you were/ As I want yous to be"

Rationale: At that place are many interpretations of what this song means, ranging from mental wellness to friendship to commentary on inauthenticity. Just, to me, "Come up Every bit Yous Are" works equally the ultimate grunge love song; as a hope to love and capeesh someone just the fashion they are.

"Delight, Please, Please" - James Brownish

Well-nigh romantic lyrics: "Babe delight, infant delight, please me/ Babe please, baby please don't go/ Don't go, I said baby, don't infant/ I love you so"

Rationale: This song is almost entirely comprised of James Dark-brown repeating "please," and, supposedly, he got a lot of flack from his producers about that before its release. Just, like the Yeah Yeah Yeahs' "Maps," this runway'south magic lies in the passion with which it'southward delivered–and James Brown is null if not passionate.

"I Will Always Beloved You" - Dolly Parton

Most romantic lyrics: "And I promise life will care for y'all kind/ And I hope that you take all/ That you ever dreamed of/ Oh, I do wish yous joy/ And I wish you happiness/ But above all this/ I wish you love"

Rationale: Without a doubtfulness, you're familiar with Whitney Houston'southward rendition of "I Will E'er Love You," merely I dear Dolly Parton's soft-spoken, country version likewise. Where Houston belts, Parton croons, making this a slap-up alternative for when you want to hear this song on a quiet evening in.

 "Songbird" - Fleetwood Mac

Most romantic lyrics: "And I wish you all the honey in the world/ But most of all, I wish information technology from myself/ And the songbirds keep singing/ Like they know the score"

Rationale: Fleetwood Mac's members were notorious for hooking up within their ranks, and Christine McVie (author and primary vocalist on this song) was no exception. This is a unique dearest song, because it does unconditional love unlike whatever other: It illustrates how it's entirely possible to honey someone and want the best for them while accepting, albeit sadly, that yous might not be that best thing.

"First Day of My Life" - Bright Eyes

Most romantic lyrics: "But I realized I need you/ And I wondered if I could come habitation"

Rationale: This Bright Eyes track makes me wish I was improve at playing guitar. Frontman Conor Oberst makes a frank plea for his beloved, telling her, "I'm glad I didn't dice before I met yous," and asking for permission to arroyo. It's an exercise in startling honesty, and the result, similar the whole album, is profound.

"Body of water of Honey" - Cat Ability

Most romantic lyrics: "Come with me, my dear/ To the body of water, the sea of love/ I wanna tell y'all/ How much I beloved you "

Rationale: Originally, the last song on this listing was going to be T.I.'s "Whatever You Similar" because I'm determined that it will play at my wedding ceremony one mean solar day (I'm not kidding), but "Sea of Dear" is besides romantic to pass up. With minimal instrumentation, Cat Power delivers a cursory merely heartfelt dearest alphabetic character whose genius lies in its profound simplicity. 10/x.
